Review a replacement or retired product route

Choose a deliberate response for a WooCommerce product URL without changing inventory or orders.

Find the source and replacement products

This optional administrator tool requires WooCommerce. Search locally by product name, SKU or numeric ID. The list shows the first 50 matches plus an already selected product when needed; refine the search for another result. Nothing is selected by default. A source can be published or in Trash; a replacement must be published and password-free. Variations need manual URL review.

Choose the intended outcome

  • Keep the current page and rules unchanged.
  • Use 301 for a permanent product replacement.
  • Use 302 for a temporary replacement, with a later deliberate review.
  • Use intentional 410 retirement only after the source is in Trash with its recorded original URL.
  • Pause the one exact active rule hiding a restored, published product.

Stock status alone never proves retirement or chooses a replacement. A redirect takes precedence over the original product page, so review the destination carefully. Advanced, conflicting or other saved routes may require the ordinary rule editor.

Review and explicitly approve

The signed review expires after 15 minutes. Changed rules, product identity or stock observations require a fresh review. Confirm the exact decision before applying it, then test representative paths and inspect the result.

This workflow does not change products, inventory, orders or payments and does not perform an HTTP destination check. Stock changes never create or remove these redirects automatically. Free can still create ordinary exact redirects manually; this Pro helper adds a product-aware review.
