Install Free, then add Pro

Install Free

In WordPress, open Plugins → Add Plugin → Upload Plugin. Upload the Free ZIP, install and activate it. Open RedirectNest → Redirects. Free works without a customer account or license.

Add Pro when you need it

Install Free 0.5.4 or newer before Pro 0.5.4. Upload and activate the separate Pro ZIP. Sign in to your RedirectNest customer account or use your private purchase link, assign your WordPress Site Address and copy its site-specific install key into RedirectNest → License & updates.

First activation requires a currently entitled purchase. Keep the install key private. Production and staging assignments are separate; each WordPress subsite uses a site entitlement.

Update with a recovery plan

Back up your WordPress database and files, update Free first and then Pro, and check representative URLs. Pro verifies signed update metadata and the package hash. Its updater rejects a package if the installed Free, WordPress or PHP version does not meet the release requirements.

Ordinary expiry leaves activated Pro features working on that installation. Renew for new downloads, updates and new site activations. A manual upload is not proof that an authenticated remote update has been verified.
